The Difference Between Bush and The Rest of Us

"There are days when our fellow citizens do not hear news about the war on terror. There's never a day when I do not learn of another threat, or receive reports of operations in progress or give an order in this global war against a scattered network of killers."

More than anything else, this is what separates President Bush from the talking heads. He lives this war every hour of every day. When his critics argue that he must do all he can to avoid war, he must think to himself: "what in the world are you talking about? We are at war, right now and tomorrow and every day thereafter for years and maybe decades to come."
