Heyward Isham.



Former US diplomat Heyward Isham died Thursday. He was a quintessential WASP establishment figure, serving his country in a variety of positions at the Departments of State and Defense and Central Intelligence. He embodied the very best of that breed. Warm, generous, shrewd and a fierce patriot, he died at 82 years of age. His funeral will be held on Friday, 26 June, in Bridgehampton, NY.
