Last Monday, I got an email from Seth Kaplan, an old friend, reminding me of a golf date that was on the calendar for 11 August. Yesterday, I got a phone call from a mutual friend of ours. "Seth Kaplan is dead," said our friend. "He had a heart attack this morning."

Seth was a terrific person; able attorney, devoted father, beloved husband, great friend. A man one admires. Funeral services are tomorrow.
