Imagine if you will the outrage, the horror, the gnashing of teeth that would have accompanied the news that the former legal counsel to President George W. Bush had been hired by Goldman Sachs to "fix" a little problem Goldman Sachs was having with the SEC (and the White House). I can almost see the columns being type-set. I can almost hear the righteous condemnation of the Acela Commentariat.

Happily, though, Goldman Sachs hired the former legal counsel to President Obama. So it's all good.
