The Sestak "Scandal."

Q. How idiotic is American politics? A. I give you the case of Rep. Joe Sestak (D-PA).

Rep. Sestak is now the Democratic nominee for the US Senate seat currently held by Senator Arlen Spector (R/D/Whatever-PA). Not so many months ago, Rep. Sestak looked like road kill on the road to Senator Spector's nomination. Rather than see him squashed, the White House apparently thought it might be a good idea if he withdrew from the race voluntarily. And, according to Rep. Sestak, they made it clear that if he wanted a new job, there would be one available to him in the Obama Administration.

All of which is sort of How The World Works 101. Republicans and the press are now trying to make the case that How The World Works 101 is some kind of criminal conspiracy. It's not. It's a feeble attempt to create a "scandal" where none exists. And it's a gigantic waste of time.
