The FUD Factor.


There was a time, not so long ago, that the mere presence of Tiger Woods in a golf tournament sparked fear, uncertainty and dread (FUD) amongst his fellow professionals. The FUD factor seemed especially acute in major tournaments.

Not anymore. The FUD factor is gone. Dustin Johnson and Zach Johnson and Rory McIlroy and Louis Oostheizen and Bubba Watson seem not only impervious to Woods' mystique, but oblivious to it.

Once the mystique is shattered, the question is: "can it be regained?" At some level, the question is the answer.
