Out of Gas and On TV

It's generally agreed that the old Crossfire formula, with Pat Buchanan on the right and Bill Press on the left (as they used to say), is completely over. There can't be seven people in America who would endure one more minute of it.

We'll soon find out. According to today's New York Times, MSNBC has signed up both Buchanan and Press to reprise a two-hour version of the old Crossfire show, beginning sometime this summer. The show will air in the mid-afternoon.

We're beyond brain dead here. The only conclusion I can draw is that the programmers at MSNBC have simply given up.
