Peper Departure

A couple of weeks ago, Golf Magazine's great editor, George Peper, began getting unsubtle messages from Time Warner publishing executives that his days were numbered. He took the hint. Early this week he quit or had himself fired, whichever leads to the more generous exit package. The New York Times is supposedly doing a story about this for Monday.

George was the guiding spirit of Golf Magazine. It's hard to imagine it without him.
