Am I the only one who's amazed by the Democratic National Committee's decision to hold its 2004 presidential nominating convention in Boston? I understand it's a nationally televised event, but location matters. How does holding a convention in Massachusetts help the Democrats? Wouldn't it have been much smarter to convene in Florida or Michigan or North Carolina?
