Amazon Makes Its Move On Textbooks.


Spooked by the enthusiastic reviews of the Plastic Logic Reader, Amazon announced today the launch of a larger Kindle for textbooks. The new (very Plastic Logic Reader-like) Kindle will be unveiled on Wednesday. The campaign for control of academic text publishing has now officially commenced. It promises cheaper textbooks (great!) and a possible revolution in how students study and learn (could be good, could be bad).
