Fool's Gold.

Gillian Tett's new book promotion launched with an excerpt in this past Saturday's Financial Times.  In the excerpt (and the book) she traces the genesis of the debt instruments that (eventually) laid waste to the financial system.  It is a must read. The book is set for release in the US in about ten days.
